Why doesn’t the friend who’s selling you the truck, let you pay over time? If ANYONE should lend you the money for this, it should be HIM!!!
If HE doesn’t think you can afford to pay him back, well, you probably can’t afford to pay him back. Maybe a $1000 clunker would be best for a year.

If you just purchased a home you should have no prob getting a car loan??? Yes just one of you go. Is the house in both names?
